Unsel L. Brown

Unsel L. Brown, electronic music producer, died Tuesday, July 4th, 2017, from complications with diabetes. He was 47.
“Unsel passed away in his sleep and moved on into the spirit world in peace,” says his brother Anthony Brown (Tony Nova).
Unsel was born Friday, September 26th, 1969 in Flint, Michigan. He was the second son of Cynthia Ann Saunders-Brown and U. L. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Madelynne Olivia Brown, loving father U.L. Brown and beloved mother Cynthia Ann Saunders Brown, beloved brother Anthony Brown and sister-in-law Betsy Brown, as well as cherished first cousins Derle Jones, Tasha Boa, Michele Lovett Gordon, Erica Wright, Terry Saunders, Kosmos Harrison, Taalib and Raheem Abdul. His other siblings include half-brother Ulrick Tipton and half-sisters Victoria and Tiffany Brown.
Unsel also leaves to cherish and celebrate his life uncles and aunts Cardell, Julius Saunders, Sheila Rattler, Rebecca Abdul, Freddie Brown, Robert Earl Brown, Effie Brown, Verna Brown, Penny Brown, Faye Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, as well as his daughter’s mother, Christy Bullock.
Special friends include Ted Bowman, Jared Bowring, Jeremy Brown, Heather Collins, Ken Clark, Leon Eddins, Omar Garnett, Tom Keller, Don Lupi, Andy McNaughton, Mitchel & Mike Patterson, Ray Rankins, Ben Ricciardi, Larry Rosier, Larry Stein, Marcus Smith, Mike Taylor, Jimmy Zelenka, Nick Theocharakis Jr. and The Scarlett Roadrunner Nation.
In 1980, Unsel moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan with his family where he was enrolled at Scarlett Jr. High. He graduated from Community High School in 1989. Unsel started playing music at the age of 10. During his junior high and high school days, Unsel formed many bands and rap crews and was part of the chamber choir. Some of the notable bands include Nice Boyz, Fresh Rockas, Dirty Black Boyz, and the infamous Az We Are!
He earned his computer systems technology certificate in April 2007. On May 5th, 2008, he received a Digital Video and Film Production certificate. On August 8th, 2012, he received an Associate of Applied Science. On May 10th, 2013, he earned a BA in Science at Eastern Michigan University. Unsel also was an avid pool player. He was a Deacon at the Universal Hager Spiritual Church, temple #9. For the last four years, he was a substitute teacher for Van Buren Public Schools, and along with that, he had various small businesses including gaming systems repair and home help services.
